A Season of WOW 12/20/2010
Are you Walking Out the Word of God in your life? If yes, share how, if not, why not? For several weeks I have been hearing the following phrases; wow, look at God; wow God you are showing out; wow I am speechless (after God miraculously moves a mountain, stumbling block, or turns a situation around in your favor). While I have been one of the individuals stating some of these phrases the Holy Spirit began to deal with me and ask, why are you in such shock that God is doing this, are you not Walking Out the Word? If you have noticed the times lately there are a few things going on: 1- The season has changed the summer has gone and fall is here? 2- Time has become accelerated, I like to think of this as a suddenly season (thanks Demetria)! 3- Many people are receiving their blessings right now! Well in noticing this I began to correlate these three things with this WOW concept. Things are happening suddenly because the people of God are beginning to walk out His word (if you are not, then ask yourself why?) If you noticed one thing about time; it is accelerated and time is whisking away. Whenever God tells you something, you must begin to walk (pursue a course of action or way of life) out the word. When God says; for in him we live move and have our being for we are His offspring (Acts 17:28), then it is important that we walk out that word, we must understand that it is by the power of God that we exist and it is because of Him we are moving about the earth, this suggest that I need to get moving, by walking out the word. When God tells you that by your stripes you are healed (Isaiah 53:5) then you need to stop sitting in that pain or dwelling in that sickness and begin walking out the word. When God tells us that he is working for the good of those who love him and have been called according to his purpose, then you need to begin walking out that word. If you are in the midst of a battle and it seems that you may loose, you need to walk out the word. God said he is working for your good. I believe that many times we do not walk out the word of God for a few reasons: 1- We have a lack of knowledge for the word; because we have become sluggish in reading, studying, and applying the word of God. 2- We have not elevated our faith to mustard seed faith. Often times we trust God for the small things but the enormous things we tend to doubt that God can and will handle them on our behalf. 3- We are dealing with doubt. Faith and doubt are antagonist. If you are faithful, you cannot be doubtful and if you are doubtful you cannot be faithful. I know that many times I have not Walked Out the Word of God, because of the doubt of my flesh. I am learning in my WOW season that I have got to take action, have faith and believe that God can/will do what He promises in my life and others. Add Comment First Post! 10/21/2010
